Traditional Breton folk music includes a variety of vocal and instrumental styles. Along with flourishing traditional forms such as the bombard-binou pair and fest-noz ensembles incorporating other additional instruments, it has also branched out into numerous subgenres.
Sega is one of the major music genres of Mauritius, and is also a popular music on the islands of Réunion and Seychelles. It has origins in the music of slaves on the island, and is usually sung in creole. In the past, the Sega music was made only with traditional instruments like ravanne and triangle.
